The 2300 Club would like thank Bridge House Farm tea rooms at Wray for hosting the lunchtime halt on the 2024 Andy Mort Tour.
“Bridge House have an unsurpassed reputation as the one of the best venues in the North West for
hosting motoring events, and coping with 160 plus entrants and officials in a two-hour window is never a problem for Jon and Aleisha,” said Tour secretary Stuart Pye.
“Everyone looks forward to the lunch halt because they know everything will be perfect, and this year
was no different.”
For this year’s AMT and unannounced, Bridge House organised for every lady competitor to be
presented with a single red rose as they left the start ramp for the afternoon leg. Rallyman Ian Grindrod
happily volunteered to do the honours.
There was also a presentation for the 750th car to cross the start ramp this year – a statistic that proves just how popular Bridge House Farm is.
It was fitting that the award of two bottles of champagne went to Geoff Rothwell and Stephen Hocking.
Geoff is the uncle of the late Simon Bibby, the much-missed 2300 Club member who passed away last
year. The pair were taking part in Simon’s Mini Cooper S, a familiar sight on previous events.
Bridge House Farm’s nominated charity is the North West Air Ambulance, and the 2300 Club were
delighted to present a cheque for £100 to them in recognition of their contribution to the success of the
Andy Mort Tour.
