Emily Easton-Page resumes her bid for the BTRDA Gold Star Championship’s co-drivers title on this weekend’s Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker Stages.
Our John Easson Award winner will be hoping to make it two-in-a-row after a brilliant performance on the Get Connected Mewla Rally, winning her class sitting alongside boyfriend, Welshman Peredur Davies, in a Peugeot 208R2.
And consistency has been the key to Emily’s BTRDA success this year, together with some excellent performances from her driver, Liam Clark, from Keighley.
The pair are seeded at car six in their Fiesta Rally2.
With just three rounds left in the series, Emily and Liam are well-placed in the title hunt, lying fifth overall in both the drivers and co-drivers table. With 30 points on offer for a win, it’s all to play for.
Organised by the Sixty and Worcestershire Car Club, the Woodpecker is one of the most popular events in the BTRDA – and British – rally calendar.
A new format is on offer for 2024, due to the unavailability of stages in the English Marches. As a result, the club have moved their base from Ludlow to Newtown, which will allow them to use some of the famous forests such as Hafren and Sweet Lamb.
