Ifan and Luke’s BRC bid ready for take-off this weekend

Luke Constantine and Ifan Devine will be looking to continue their fine Manx form and ignite their BRC campaign this weekend.

The pair are contesting the Borders-based Jim Clark Rally, and will start the two-day event at car 64 in their Opel Corsa Rally4.

Luke and Ifan, our reigning John Easson Award winner, scooped second FWD and second in their class as they began to find the right set-up for the new car, setting some blistering times towards the end of the rally.

“We were pleased with our eventual pace, so the plan is to have a real push this weekend and get in amongst the fast boys,” said Ifan.

“The Manx has given Luke real confidence in the car, and we did the Jim Clark together last year, so we have a fair idea of what to expect.”

The Jim Clark is also the second round of the Stellantis Rally Trophy UK, with Luke and Ifan among the leading contenders.

A ceremonial start in the historic town of Duns on Friday night precedes four night time stages totalling around 35 miles.

Saturday action comprises six stages with 65 competitive miles.
