The signature finale to previous Andy Mort Tours has always been the ‘Super Special Test’ and this year’s event will be no different, thanks to Hanson Cement.
“Andy was a fun-loving member of the 2300 Club and would want as many entrants as possible to join in,” explained Cliff Simmons, assistant clerk-of-the-course.
“Thanks to Gary Young, plant manager at Hanson Cement’s Ribblesdale Works, we will be able to use their car park to run the Super Special at the end of the Tour. It’s a fun test, where judgement and accuracy are far more important than speed, and although participation is optional, there’s a prize for the winner.
