It was great to see our John Easson Award Winner, Ioan Lloyd make the podium on last weekend’s Grampian Forest Rally. Especially as the start didn’t quite go to plan.
Here is what Ioan Lloyd had to say about it;
Really happy with our performance today, an eventful day nonetheless at the Grampian rally, we didn’t make the start of stage 1 unfortunately due to an o-ring on the fuel pump not sealing and consequently pouring fuel out the car.
Despite this thanks to the great work of our team we managed to get the car sorted and get out for some valuable experience. We had a really nice feeling in the car on the afternoon loops, with Eammon and Kyle in a mighty battle for the win, we were happy to be setting pace close to these boys and to manage our first fastest time was fantastic then to end up on the podium was a nice reward for all the hard work from everyone in the team.
We got very comfortable on the new Michelin Motorsport early on, the way they perform is incredible.
Congratulations to Eamonn Kelly Rallying/Conor Mohan on a great drive to win, and Johnnie Mulholland Rallying/Eoin Tracey on a great result.
Gutted for Kyle White Rallying/Sean Topping shown some blistering pace today just unlucky with a late misfortune.
Another flawless job by my right hand man Sion, and a great laugh all weekend . Thanks to Dad, Rich, Dyl and Rhys for a mega job in service and great company
Thanks to Scott and Jack G&M Services for the help on the recce car. And to Motordrive seats for the ever brilliant service making last minute adjustments late this week
