Flying the 2300club flag in Monaco

Flying the 2300club flag this weekend at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, Paul Tattersall will once again be racing his Ensign N179 F1 car.

After months of hard work and many late nights in the garage, Paul has completed a full rebuild of the car, helped by his mechanics, brother Nick and nephew Gareth – a real family affair.
This isn’t Paul’s first time racing the Ensign in the principality.
The first time was in 2018 with a very wet action- packed race where finishing was an achievement itself – and finish he did, beating a grid dominated by professional drivers.
The 2021 race, this time blessed with sunshine also proved action-packed, and Paul brought the car home in eighth place, which was a fantastic result for an amateur competing alongside professionals.
We received a message from Paul to let us know the car had passed scrutineering on Wednesday.
“There were 10 scrutineers in total, and it took about 45mins to check everything, but we passed without any issues”, he said.
“Its fantastic to be here again, it’s a brilliant atmosphere, really magical, and I was getting tips yesterday from Roberto Moreno who is racing a Hill F1”

We wish Paul the very best of luck this weekend.
