After a 51-day break from rallying, Ifan Devine is back in harness for this weekend’s Nicky Grist Stages in mid-Wales
Ifan, our John Easson Award winner, and driver Luke Constantine are using the one day event as preparation for the next round of the BRC, the all-gravel Voly Grampian Forest Rally next month.
“The Kielder Rally back in April was our last forest rally, so we definitely need some more miles in the car before then,” explained Ifan.
“We’ve had a busy few months getting the Opel Corsa Rally4 set up as we want it on both tarmac and gravel, and we’ve had some great results so far.
“But any adjustments we can make will improve our chances on the Grampian.
“The stages this weekend are like nothing else. Fast, open moorland tracks with crests and jumps, getting a good time relies on the driver carrying speed through the corners with the correct racing line.
“We can’t wait to get out there!”
