The 2300 Club, organisers of the legendary Tunnock’s Tour of Mull closed road tarmac rally, is proud to announce 24 year old Scotsman Ryan Borthwick as winner of the 2006 John Easson Scholarship for young rally drivers.
The scholarship, now in its third year, is named after rally driver John Easson, a regular competitor on the Isle of Mull and a generous supporter of the 2300 Club before tragically losing his life in an air accident in 1999.

In a further effort to improve the level of safety on this years event a new position of Stage Safety Co-ordinator has been created. The Stage Safety Co-ordinator will assume overall responsibility to ensure all competitors are accounted for whilst in their particular stage. The Stage Safety Co-ordinator will take responsibility for, and operate the ‘Bingo Ticket system’. This system records numbers of cars into and out of a stage.
