Ifan Devine will be looking to extend his lead in the Junior BRC co-drivers standings when he tackles this weekend’s Voly Grampian Forest Rally.
As the series approaches the halfway point, our John Easson Award winner currently leads the table with 32 points, two ahead of second-placed Richard Crozier.
His driver, Luke Constantine is second in the drivers race behind Ben McFall.
Ifan and Luke are enjoying a rich vein of form in their new Opel Corsa Rally4, after impressing on the Nicky Grist Stages last month.
Using the gravel event as an runout for the Grampian, the pair came away with a brilliant class win, top FWD car, second 2WD, and 17th overall.
“It was the perfect result for us ahead of the Grampian, and the changes we made during the event enabled us to extract more pace from the car,” explained Ifan.
“We are up against Ben McFall in the Juniors and he’s taken maximum points so far in the first two rounds. But we pushed him very hard on the Jim Clark Rally and we’ll be doing it again this weekend.”
With 57 competitive miles spread over two days and ten stages, it promises to be a tough weekend for everyone.
And the entry list has a star-studded look to it, with current FIA WRC leader and Toyota works driver Elfyn Evans taking part in preparation for Rally Scotland 2027, together with Ford’s Jon Armstrong in a Fiesta Rally2.
